EL SOMBRERO PURPURA

Cuenca, Ecuador, Early Spring — I am once again attracted by the colors, textures and tempos of the open street market, always a visual feast. Here in the old capitol city of Cuenca I find her, with that oh-so-purple hat. I can’t resist taking her portrait. She is completely unaware of my presence, so I am able to record the scene without disturbing or changing it at all.
